Originally produced by AJ Fernandez, The Nicaragua Connecticut is now being blended and rolled by Joya de Nicaragua, and the result is fantastic. Essentially, the award-winning cigar manufacturer has taken La Palina founder, Bill Paley's dream of a having a shade-grown Nicaraguan puro in his portfolio to whole new heights. Yes, that's right. Everything from that Connecticut-seed wrapper southward is grown in Nicaragua, resulting in a premium cigar blend that is equal parts unique and familiar.

Although the blend may be all about creamy vanilla and cupcake batter at first, with popcorn and roasty cereal grains sitting on the side, stronger notes of earth, pepper, and roasted nuts eventually emerge in this light-colored, medium-bodied cigar. It may not be for everyone, but those who appreciate unique smokes are surely going to dig this tasty little oddball blend.

This cigar is handmade in the Dominican Republic. Its Indonesian binder and long-filler tobaccos from the USA and the Dominican Republic are covered by a light brown Sumatra wrapper.

The La Palina White Label may be one of the most mouthwatering Connecticut shade wrapped cigars you will ever smoke. With great excitement and pride, Artesano Del Tobacco and AJ Fernandez announced the introduction of El Pulpo. AJ has created patented tobacco using a combination of patience and inherited methods, using the most valuable seeds that are only obtained from his family's farms. This cigar is hand-rolled at AJ Fernandez's factory in Nicaragua using a blend of Nicaraguan binder and fillers. 

El Pulpo "The Fry" is a 4x48 firecracker that uses the same 94-rated powerful Nicaraguan blend and a San Andres Maduro wrapper. These little gems from AJ Fernandez offer all the wonderful qualities of El Pulpo in a more manageable size. Made at the AJ Fernandez factory in Nicaragua, the wrapper was fermented differently from the original to give it distinct flavors.

Jake Wyatt’s "Fourth Dimension" features an all Dominican lineup, as well as the brand's signature two-tone wrapper approach to rolling. Available in both a flag capped figurado and a traditional toro vitola, this blend offers smooth and bold flavors throughout, as well as a medium-full-bodied finish. Intended for lovers of Dominican blends, this habano and candela wrapped smoke is one of the more unique sticks you will encounter in the Klaro portfolio.

The ADN Dominicano contains a very special kind of Dominican tobacco. Commonly known as andullo (an-doo-yaw), this process takes tobacco and places it inside palm tree pods, at which point it is bound and then pressed until a paste-like pile of leaves comes out months later. Extremely rare, and ultra labor intensive, this unique cigar making style originated in the Dominican Republic, and is known for adding strength, aroma, and sweetness to a well-balanced cigar blend.

In this case, the result is a spicy, woody cigar that melds pleasantly with hints of sweetness that segue into a graham cracker finish. This smoke is one hell of a great burner too, with a flawless draw producing columns of smoke. 

Blackbird's Glitch cigars were unintentionally produced as a consequence of an oversight in production when tobacco batches were jumbled up during the rolling process. The blenders, however, soon ceased complaining after tasting the results and set to work duplicating this "happy accident."

The Blackbird Glitch Maduro offers a rich and flavorful smoke. It is made up of American and Dominican filler leaves tucked inside a Dominican binder and coated in an oily San Andres wrapper leaf. Composed of an aged tobacco core from Nicaragua with a Mexican San Andres wrapper, the West Tampa Red is a manifestation of founder and master blender Rick Rodriguez's idea about what the appearance, texture, aroma, and flavor of a robust, rich cigar should be.

This is Crux's Connecticut Shade crown gem in the Epicure line. A blend tailored for those who realize that indulgence doesn't have to be a bad thing, evoking creamy smoke textures and a smooth, caramel finish.

Although it is called a "sixty," this cigar that is technically classified as a gordo, and man is it densely packed! Slow burning and offering massive amounts of smoke from a fluid draw, this cigar may look big and tough, but it is more of a medium to medium-full experience. Expect notes of Honduran soil, milk cocoa, toasted nuts, cedar, and a hefty amount of sweet cola spices.

Isla del Cocodrilo is a popular nickname given to the island of Cuba because of its crocodile shape. Kyle Gellis – founder of Warped – was inspired by this fact to produce his latest gem: An all-Nicaraguan filled cigar that is covered by a double binder of Ecuadorian Habano 2000 and Brazilian Arapiraca descent, and then clad in an Ecuadorian Habano Deflorada wrapper. This is a medium to full-bodied stick with rich notes of cedar and earth and hints of spice and vanilla.

Notes of citrus, semi-sweet chocolate, licorice, and cedar are all present in this full-bodied, box-pressed blend. Translated to "The Drunkard," this smoke has a darker San Andrés wrapper from Mexico that is technically not a maduro but a natural varietal, a habano rosado binder leaf, and fillers from Nicaragua's top three growing regions. The El Borracho robusto, which is handcrafted in Nicaragua, was designed to mimic the Padron 1964, and therefore get company founder, Ian Reith, weened off the pricier premium cigar blend. The result is a blend that is brawny yet subtle, and an absolutely beautiful burner.

Nick Melillo, the founder of Foundation Cigar Co., has roots in Connecticut, and thus has a strong connection to tobaccos of this area. Ultimately, this allowed him to find a way to get the best out of the US-bred Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper surrounding this cigar, turning an oily and dark smoking session into one full of notes like black pepper, earth, wood, and bittersweet chocolate.

This cigar contains only Nicaraguan tobacco that has been aged for two years and married in tercios. EP Encore is a complex blend that offers a sumptuous flavor rich in baking spices, mild tobacco notes, subtle cedar, and touches of sweetness. It's elegant, refined and nuanced from first puff to last puff, but it's also the culmination of a long career in tobacco and the result of a man who was never afraid to follow his instincts. This stick scored an unmatched 96 points rate and was awarded the #1 Cigar of 2018.

Earthy, cedar, and spicy aromas predominate in this medium-to-full-bodied smoke. The cigars are handmade in Honduras. The 149th harvest of Plasencia is commemorated by the name of the Plasencia Cosecha 149. In addition, it honors the hard-working people who care for Honduras' rich land and the high-quality tobacco that is farmed there.

Ernesto Carrillo and Rick Rodriguez, two exceptional cigar blenders, worked together to create this unique mix: the West Tampa Circle of Life cigar.

The blend consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, and a filler made of tobacco from the Jalapa, Condega, and Estelí regions of Nicaragua along with some Dominican Corojo 99.

Rodriguez, who was trained by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo during his time at General Cigar Co., has often cited him as one of his key mentors and teachers. This collaboration is a way to connect with his roots and lay another brick for the future of the brand.

Main notes: Vanilla, baking spice, cedar, cashew, and finishing off with some roasted coffee.

Plasencia Alma del Campo is a complex smoke with a perfect balance delivering notes of coffee and nuts. This is a very creamy cigar with a touch of spice. The finish leaves a lasting impression on the palate.

This stick is characterized by a light silky, fragrant wrapper. It combines aromas of nuts, honey, cream, stardust, white pepper, cloves, and nutmeg providing a sweet and complex experience. 

The company describes the blend as mild to medium body and “Traveling at the speed of light, far beyond the next galaxy, while a friendly android serves cake.“ The blend uses a Nicaraguan Connecticut wrapper, Indonesian Sumatra binder, and fillers including Jalapa, Nicaragua and Piloto from Dominican Republic.
