In 2018, master blender Willy Herrera created the outstanding Herrera Estelí line of cigars for Drew Estate, one of which includes the Herrera Estelí Brazilian Maduro. Packing an all-Nicaraguan filler, a Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and an oily Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper, this robust stogie packs plenty of powerful flavors to appease even the most hardcore cigar smoker's palate. 

The second offering in this well-known brand from master cigar maker AJ Fernandez is the Dias de Gloria Brazil. 2019 saw the release of Nicaragua's first Dias de Gloria version, which was made in remembrance of the heyday of Cuban tobacco prior to the Castro catastrophe.

Días de Gloria Brazil celebrates the union of two exceptional worlds of tobacco. Honoring the rich roots of Brazil and the legacy of Nicaragua, AJ Fernandez captures the soul of traditional influences with this distinct and vibrant blend. While adorned with a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper, AJ’s signature Nicaraguan binder and filler remains at the heart of this blend. In crafting this cigar, AJ Fernandez not only pays tribute to the glory days of tobacco but also will create new glory days for every connoisseur.

The La Palina Blue Label is an extremely refined smoke. Built on a base of strong Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos, La Palina’s revised version of the Blue Label now contains a Sumatran wrapper from Ecuador to help bring a whole new level of flavor and complexity to the blend. The medium to full-bodied flavor profile brings chocolate, cinnamon, and nutty tastes together to create a complex bouquet of aromas that are all balanced out by a perfect creaminess.

This cigar is handmade in the Dominican Republic. Its Indonesian binder and long-filler tobaccos from the USA and the Dominican Republic are covered by a light brown Sumatra wrapper.

The Finch is a delightful mild smoke with smooth overtones of white pepper, coffee, and light spice that was created by renowned blender Jonas Santana.

In order to create a new Macanudo line that featured tobacco aged in French oak barrels that previously held a single vineyard cabernet sauvignon, General Cigar Co. collaborated with Flint Knoll, a small winery in Napa, California.

While the wrapper is an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade varietal with a honey-hued color, this isn't a mild smoke by any means, for the filler tobaccos are dark and potent. Mata Fina from Brazil, Piloto Cubano and Olor from the Dominican Republic, as well as some Nicaraguan Jalapa leaf are all bound inside by a Connecticut Broadleaf binder. It is this leaf that rested inside those French oak barrels from Flint Knoll, resulting in a toasted tannin crispness, and a unique olfactory experience you have to smoke to believe.
