Esteban Carreras Las Cañas is a premium Nicaraguan cigar launched at PCA 2025, notable for its innovative use of sweetened tobacco throughout the entire blend, not just the tip. It features a rich Habano Maduro Nicaraguan wrapper over an undisclosed binder and filler combo, both from Nicaragua. The cigar delivers a medium to medium-full strength profile with a natural, balanced sweetness, achieved by spraying sugar water directly onto the tobacco leaves. It is hand-rolled at Tabacalera Carreras.

The Chupacabra line, which is among the best-selling blends within the Esteban Carreras portfolio, recently welcomed the Chupacabra Hellcat. The magnificent Mexican San Andres wrapper of the Hellcat comes paired with the same binder and inner filler tobaccos as the original Chupacabra. Additionally, the Hellcat is built with a pigtail head, an unfinished foot, and a wafer-thin box-pressing. This sets the Hellcat apart from the pack, as too does its unique foot bands and wax paper sleeving that protect its wrapper. 

This cigar is a medium-strength, full-bodied blend with a seductive, spicy kick that is balanced by an intense richness that only maduro cigars can provide. To achieve this, the cigar's oily wrapper was matured for an extra two years before being rolled, thus making it a rarity even though it is a regular production smoke.

Originally called Taken From the Devil's Hand, this blend has since been renamed Taken From the Dictator's Hand to commemorate the corojo seed used to make the wrapper being stolen from Fidel Castro.

What makes the Esteban Carreras Unforsaken a unique stick is that this is the first cigar of the brand using top-quality tobacco that has been aged for two years in rum barrels. This medium to full body cigar has an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrappers, Nicaraguan long-filler and binder that is aged not once, but twice in rum casks. This pre-and-post production barrel-aging process rewards you with notes of coffee bean, dried fruit, and vanilla, followed by a hint of sweetness and oak. 

This stick is a Nicaraguan puro made with a rich, exquisite corojo wrapper and a variety of aged filler tobaccos from some of the best growing regions in that part of the world. As a result, this blend provides a rich, medium-bodied smoking experience that should improve with age and further refine in flavor with time. This is the first cigar that Esteban Carreras has made with a corojo wrapper, and apparently the varietal used in this blend was smuggled out of Cuba in the 1990s. Hence the original name of this cigar being Taken From the Devil's Hand and the recently revised title being Taken From the Dictator's Hand.

In 2018, master blender Willy Herrera created the outstanding Herrera Estelí line of cigars for Drew Estate, one of which includes the Herrera Estelí Brazilian Maduro.
