Essentially, the award-winning cigar manufacturer has taken La Palina founder, Bill Paley's dream of a having a shade-grown Nicaraguan puro in his portfolio to whole new heights. Yes, that's right. Everything from that Connecticut-seed wrapper southward is grown in Nicaragua, resulting in a premium cigar blend that is equal parts unique and familiar.
Although the blend may be all about creamy vanilla and cupcake batter at first, with popcorn and roasty cereal grains sitting on the side, stronger notes of earth, pepper, and roasted nuts eventually emerge in this light-colored, medium-bodied cigar. It may not be for everyone, but those who appreciate unique smokes are surely going to dig this tasty little oddball blend.
