The Island Jim Barber Pole #2 by Oscar Valladares is the latest extension in the Island Jim line of pencil-stylized cigars, and we cannot wait for you to try it for yourselves.
While it may have a shaggy foot for an eraser and different colored wrapper leaves looking all the world like pencil lead on the other end, this latest version takes the two-tone approach to a whole new level.

Unlike the other blends in the Island Jim line, this smoke utilizes a traditional barber pole dual wrapper design, which is not something you see all too often from Oscar Valladares.
Additionally, instead of opting for a maduro or a candela leaf for contrasting colors and flavors like most cigar makers do, Oscar Valladares and Island Jim decided to try out a corojo wrapper leaf for a change. This combination is practically unheard of in the cigar biz, especially when done in barber pole form, and according to Oscar Valladares, the combination makes for a milkier, smoother smoking session that keeps all of the vibrant corojo tastes we love intact.

Even more intriguing, is the fact that we were able to meet Island Jim in the flesh at the PCA Show this year, and actually got him to agree to be on camera so that he could talk a bit about the blend. Little did we know that this is virtually unheard of, as Jim is quick to shy away from the camera, and rarely agrees to doing interviews.
So count yourselves lucky that you get to see the man responsible for this line, as well as the entire Leaf by Oscar series on camera, because you more than likely will never see it again. So please enjoy, and snag up a fiver of this kickass new blend before it sells out!
