Altar Q is a celebration of Honduran tobaccos and is inspired by the prehistoric Mayan culture that dominated Honduras and Central America for centuries. 

This cigar's warm flavors include hints of hearty bread, cream, nuts, and exotic spices. A medium-strength, delicious smoke with a Honduran binder and filler grown near the ruins of the once vibrant Mayan civilization. Covered by a light-brown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, and cloaked in recycled tobacco leaf paper, each cigar in a box of Altar Q receives a unique print and is numbered to represent a dynasty of sixteen Mayan rulers from that era.

In collaboration with Jim Robinson, a Pittsburgh-based retailer who works with Oscar Valladares in his Danli, Honduras factory, Oscar and Jim have developed a new blend known as "Island Jim."

The cigar currently only available in one size, which is named the #2 because it was designed to resemble a #2 pencil. This cigar's tobacco blend hasn't been disclosed, but it offers a medium body and good, strong tobacco flavors. It has juicy fruit, butter, and light pepper flavors.

The entire purpose of this unique collaboration was to create the Short Run 2023, which is made in Oscar's Honduran facility using an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Honduran binder, and Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers, some of which came from Copan. The Short Run 2023 is incredibly distinctive and just over medium in body. It features notes of saltiness, different nuts, baking spices, and an undertone of earth. These won't be available forever!
