This stick is a Nicaraguan puro made with a rich, exquisite corojo wrapper and a variety of aged filler tobaccos from some of the best growing regions in that part of the world. As a result, this blend provides a rich, medium-bodied smoking experience that should improve with age and further refine in flavor with time. This is the first cigar that Esteban Carreras has made with a corojo wrapper, and apparently the varietal used in this blend was smuggled out of Cuba in the 1990s. Hence the original name of this cigar being Taken From the Devil's Hand and the recently revised title being Taken From the Dictator's Hand.

El Pulpo "The Fry" is a 4x48 firecracker that uses the same 94-rated powerful Nicaraguan blend and a San Andres Maduro wrapper. These little gems from AJ Fernandez offer all the wonderful qualities of El Pulpo in a more manageable size. Made at the AJ Fernandez factory in Nicaragua, the wrapper was fermented differently from the original to give it distinct flavors.

From the renowned Oliva brand comes this gem. Named after its creator Gilberto Oliva, this mild smoke is easily pairable with a cup of coffee. This cigar provides plenty of sweet flavors. One could notice some buttered almonds, sweet cream and even cedar.

The H. Upmann Banker is a recreation of a blend dating back to the 1800s in Cuba in 1844, and it definitely does justice to the original. Initial pre-light flavors range from anise to leather to chocolate, with the first third continuing the chocolate notes, while mixing in some black pepper and a multitude of tannin notes.
