The blend is called Piece Unique from Gellis Family Cigars and it refers to the rare occasion when a watchmaker produces a special one-off timepiece. Hence the name “Piece Unique."

Produced exclusively in a standard 6x52 toro parejo vitola format, and elegantly banded and boxed, this first release in the Piece Unique line comes with some serious specs. Hand-selected by Kyle Gellis himself, each bale of Grade 1 Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf that makes the wrapper of this release is only the very best that money can buy. The same can be said for the bales of tobacco that are reserved for constructing the binder filler blend, which is a Nicaraguan and Dominican mix. All of which were aged for an additional year in Spanish cedar after rolling was complete.

Packaged in 15-count, piano-finished boxes that have been handmade out of thick Spanish cedar, this limited run has just 500 units per release. This makes this blend one of the most top-drawer cigars Klaro has sourced since we first opened.

According to updates from Gellis himself, this project was quite the exhausting one too. The process that went into sourcing the ideal tobacco alone and then perfecting the blend took more than a full two years to accomplish. And that doesn't count the year of aging placed on each cigar post-production. 

One final note of interest, is the fact that while the wrapper used for Piece Unique is reported to remain intact (for now) when it comes to future releases, the interior portion of the tobacco blend is a one time experience. So this definitely make this first run and any subsequent releases a unique piece to try!
