While a candela wrapper on the outside does technically earn a premium cigar blend the classification of being a "green cigar," we recognize the fact that these grassy, herbal, and matcha green tea notes aren't for everyone. Candela Green Cigars

We start off with four of our best-selling green cigars, or stogies that have at least a sizable amount of candela leaf somewhere on the outside. Each blend is unique in its own regard, and is guaranteed to taste like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow as you savor the contents of that whiskey glass or pint of the good stuff.

Jake Wyatt Lucid Interval

Easily the greenest cigar on the shelf, this boutique blend earned rave reviews when it was first assessed in our official Klaro Cigars stogie shakedown in 2024. Flavors of matcha green tea, white tea, cedar, freshly cut grass, and pistachio nuts are all present in this medium-bodied smoke, earning it a spot as one of the more memorable blends in the Klaro Collection. 

Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock

Serving as the unofficial cigar of St. Patrick's Day, this vibrant barber pole is a hot seller around this time every year thanks to its festive appearance and Irish themed band. Interestingly enough, the blend does not appear to change from year-to-year, so the only difference is the vintage of the blend.

With this one, we have found that scoring a few extra boxes from last year's release and aging them for twelve months makes for an even smoother smoking experience. However, quantities are limited, so snag up this stick while you can because it's first come first serve at this bar.

Jake Wyatt Fourth Dimension

As the selected Cigar of the Month at Klaro for March 2025, this wild-looking barber pole seems more than appropriate for the upcoming holiday. Not only does it pack enough candela leaf on its exterior to be labeled as a "green cigar," but it also keeps an even amount of habano rosado alongside it to add some contrasting flavors. Spicy and rich, but also herbal and light, it's the best of both worlds with this boutique cigar blend.

Oscar Valladares The Oscar Connecticut

While it may not be a green cigar per se, this Honduran-grown Connecticut cigar does come sheathed in a candela tobacco leaf. It just uses this green leaf as an alternative to a traditional sleeve of cigar cellophane. Cedar, almonds, vanilla, and a fair deal of pepper toward the tail end of this stogie made for one intriguing smoking session when it got an official Klaro cigar review a little while back.

And then there are the cigars in the Klaro portfolio that do not have a candela leaf on the outside, but feature some form of sheath or cigar band that is green enough to keep pinch-happy fingers away from your fleshy surfaces. Dark, light, rich, effervescent, spicy, and soil-heavy, there's something for everyone in the list below, so shop around and we are sure that you will find the right St. Patrick's Day cigar for your celebratory needs this year.

AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil

Dark and earthy, the distinctly nutty smelling Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper on this green and gold cedar-sleeved premium cigar blend make it a beauty of a smoking specimen. Definitely a stogie that you will want to pair with a beverage that is equally dark, nutty, and well-crafted.

Rocky Patel Emerald

A newer entry into the Klaro portfolio, and arguably its greenest in regard to packaging, this appropriately named cigar from Rocky Patel is a medium-smoke that features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that has been reinforced by dual binders from Nicaragua and Mexico. It's your call as to what you would prefer to pair this blend with beverage-wise, but we get the feeling that a dry stout, a brown ale, or perhaps an Irish single malt would fit the bill quite nicely. 

Caldwell The T.

A medium maduro with just the right amount of everything, this boxy blend is a joint venture between Matt Booth from Room 101, Robert Caldwell from Caldwell Cigar Co., and Abdel Fernandez from AJ Fernandez Cigar Company. Pairs perfectly with a double-chocolate stout or even an Irish car bomb if you are feeling rowdy. 

Lovely Cigars No. 162

Taking a mild approach to Sumatran tobacco usage, this blend leans more on woody flavors and finer notes of herb tea than leathery sun-grown intensity. An outstanding option for anyone in search of mellow spiced flavors, a lighter body, and very little strength. 

CAO Flavours Eileen's Dream

Wrapped in an authentic African Cameroon wrapper, and infused with Irish Cream and white chocolate truffles, this is the perfect cigar for those who are on the hunt for a dessert smoke. Milky, creamy, medium-bodied, and not all that sweet, this hazelnut-like blend is a joy to pair with milk stouts and Irish Cream cocktails. 

Drew Estate Herrera Estelí Norteno

This meaty Mexican maduro is meant for those who favor big, bold, soil-rich, box-pressed cigars. A macho, full-bodied smoke that is best not lit on an empty stomach, but also pairs perfectly with a pint of imperial stout.

H. Upmann The Banker

One of the first cigar reviews ever conducted here at Klaro remains one of our favorite go-to blends. This nutty, creamy, roasted java-tasting habano is an absolute gem, and one that pairs well with a traditional Irish coffee with a shot of whiskey inside.

AJ Fernandez New World Cameroon

An affordable smoke that never disappoints when it comes to flavor, balance, performance perks, and consistency. Hazelnuts, vanilla, and a faint coffee-like bitterness are all delivered in a smooth, medium-strength sort of way. The body is mild-medium, and the smoke is very enjoyable to play around with.
