As a former homebrewer with over a decade of experience, I can attest that I know a solid beer cigar when I encounter one. 

This is precisely why I insisted upon us scoring a few boxes of the 2023 blend of Quesada Cigars' Oktoberfest.

I was handed a sample of this ultra-limited seasonal cigar at the PCA Trade Show by none other than founder and master blender Manuel Quesada, and naturally, I immediately paired it with a beer.

After smoking it, loving it, and skillfully stowing the extra sample Señor Quesada graciously bestowed upon me in my favorite EDC travel humidor for a later date, I reassessed what I had just encountered. 

Savory, salty, and brimming with rich rye bread spice notes and chewy smoke, this is definitely one of those medium cigars you are going to want to enjoy with a stein of your favorite Märzenbier. Come to think of it, virtually any beer would go wonderfully with this premium cigar blend!

Speaking of blends... both of the vitolas we are offering Klaro Members this month are constructed with the same oily Mexican San Andrés wrapper and all Dominican filler and binder leaves. The only difference is the shape of the cigar itself.

And while the torpedo-shaped "Das Boot" is sure to perform like a champ, it is the unusually constructed "Salomon Press" that gets all of the glory. Box-pressed at the center, and ballooned out in double-perfecto form on each end, this has to be one of the wildest-looking cigars ever constructed. 

Apparently, Quesada hasn't offered this "Salomon Press" vitola since 2014, and with all of the boxes of this ultra-limited release already allocated, we can confidently say that this is one of the rarest cigars we've ever stocked at Klaro!
